It’s no secret that Charleston is the best city and we’re so lucky to call it home! After being voted Travel + Leisure’s number 1 city in the United States for 6 years in a row, Charleston is on everyone’s travel bucket list for this year. There’s so much to see in our charming little town, so we’re narrowing down our family friendly favorites for you!

WHERE TO STAY
Belmond Charleston Place: This location couldn’t be anymore perfect! Located right in the middle of King Street, Charleston Place has everything you need including restaurants and shopping right on the main floor.
Francis Marion Hotel: The Francis Marion is just steps away from shopping, restaurants, and historic attractions. It has been in business for almost 100 years and is definitely a favorite amongst tourists!
The Inns:  Live like the locals do in a renovated historic home! These boutique Airbnbs are perfect for families and big groups with their largest home made up of 10 bedrooms.

WHERE TO SHOP
Scraps of Magic: Simply browse scrapsofmagic.com from your posh hotel and the owner, Elizabeth, hand delivers to your door.  Scraps Of Magic is the ultimate concierge service in Charleston for tween and teen girls clothing providing complementary try on sessions to ensure the proper fit.  We want to make sure your stay is hassle free, so if your daughter forgets a swimsuit, needs an outfit for dinner, or needs an extra pair of panties, we’ve got your back!  Scraps Of Magic brings the store to you!
Cannonborough Collective: If you’re looking for the perfect Charleston souvenir, look no further! Cannonborough Collective is a cute little shop right off King Street that features local artists and vendors.
Historic Charleston City Market: Visiting the Market is a must during your trip to Charleston! It is one of the nation’s oldest public markets and is home to over 300 different vendors.

WHERE TO EAT
Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit: While you’re browsing through the market, stop by Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit for a quick pick me up and the best biscuits you’ll ever have!
Leon’s: This award winning restaurant knows how to do fried chicken y’all! Not to mention, they have yummy soft serve with sprinkles!
Hominy Grill: A Charleston classic! Nothing beats breakfast at Hominy Grill. Make sure to get there early as it can get quite busy!

WHAT TO DO
Take a stroll downtown: One of the best ways to see Charleston is on foot. We recommend walking down King Street, Tradd Street, and Rainbow Row to see the prettiest colorful homes! Make sure to also stop by the famous Pineapple Fountain!
Hope on board the Carolina Belle: See Charleston from a different point of view and learn all about the Lowcountry’s history!
Head to the beach: Get the family together and call it a beach day! Whether you choose Folly Beach or Sullivan’s Island, our beaches will make you never want to leave!
